Meet Shaye: Our Canon Cowgirl

Born and bred in North East Victoria, Shaye is a true country girl with an innate passion for photography, particularly in the rural and farm property sector. Specialising in capturing the unique essence of the countryside, Shaye has become one of the most recognised photographers in the region. Her deep connection to the land and love for photography made joining Open2View a natural choice, where she has flourished over the past five years.

With a background in real estate marketing, Shaye has honed her craft, becoming an integral part of the Open2View team. Her exceptional skills were recognized in 2023 when she was awarded Open2View Victoria’s Most Improved Photographer. Additionally, Shaye's dedication to her work has earned her the prestigious Premium Photographer certification, a testament to her expertise and commitment.

Shaye offers a comprehensive range of services, including ground and aerial photography, floorplans, video, 3D homeviews, and virtual furniture. Her ability to tell a property’s story through her lens is unmatched, making her a favorite among clients.

Outside of her professional life, Shaye continues to pursue her passion for photography through her business, 'The Canon Cowgirl,' where she captures the action and emotion of rodeos and equine events. When she’s not behind the camera, you can find Shaye enjoying time with her partner, friends, family, and beloved animals, or exploring the great outdoors through camping and horseback riding.

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
My nan, because she was my favorite person on this earth and I want to catch her up on everything she has missed; David Attenborough to bend his ear on all things animals and the state of our planet; and Kristen Schurr to discuss all things rodeo/photography.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
"Smooth seas never make experienced sailors."

What’s one item on your bucket list that you’re determined to complete?
Photograph cowboys in America.
